Dental implants are a great way to get a healthy, beautiful smile back. Missing teeth hamper a smile and also take away a person’s self-esteem. Having the missing teeth replaced gives them their smile back, gives them more confidence to smile, and is also better for their health because they can chew better and more comfortably with a full set of teeth.

Life has a way of throwing us the occasional curveball, which can sometimes arrive in the form of pain in the teeth and gums, a cracked or lost tooth, or a damaged filling or crown. In these situations, you need excellent emergency dental care – fast.

A toothache may indicate anything from a bit of debris lodged against a tooth to a serious infection. If you have a toothache, rinse your mouth with warm water to clean it, then gently floss to remove any remaining debris.  Learn more about toothaches here.

If you believe you or your child has cracked or broken a tooth, rinse the area with warm water and apply a cold compress to reduce swelling. Contact Dr. Opp as soon as possible to restore your tooth.

If one of your teeth has been knocked out, attempt to replace the tooth in its socket and contact us. If you cannot place the tooth back into its socket, hold it by the crown (not the root!) and submerge it in a glass of warm milk until you arrive at our office.
